Hope you enjoy the tunes. Also if you like metal, then you may like listening to this artist called Distance. Vex'd is also awesome.

Why is this thread not locked?

If a dude comes up to you in the street in front of a night club and asks you these question, you would point him out to your friends and join them in mocking him...
Seriously, "how do I dance?" , "What can I expect?", you would seriously google DSF, make an account and post this shit? We might be outnumbered, but some of us have been doing this shit for 15 years...I have never, ever experienced anything like this in real life....it would be a laughable matter.
On the internet, every fourteen year old or undereducated socially insecure random person can ask these stupid and superfluous questions...and apparently get a response.

It doesn't matter one fuck. You do what you gotta do, you do what you want to do. You either like it or not. This isn't a job interview, this isn't a test, there are no scene points to be won. What the fuck? Just go out there and enjoy. Or google some dubstep or whatever...

I mean, what a pure waste of everyone's time. Including mine.
I'm annoyed by all of this, where I should normally be laughing out loud reading this, after 1938 times, it apparently becomes less funny and more sad.

Enjoy your night, keep an eye out on your girlfriend, bro's tend to hit everything they can get their hands on at a dubstep night...apparently.
That's funny because his question did not bother me at all :w:
I think we all need a little 14 year old advice sometimes, I know I did when I joined this forum. We can't all know the way of a 15 year vet...relax bro.
I think your acting way to seriouse for a place that enables users to produce dancing corn heads :corndance: at one click of a button...

sry to waste your time jokei

For what its worth, the thread helped. I had a ball, so did my girl. I will do this more often.

I just don't like to look like a moron in public, but I've been doing the metal thing as long as you've been doing the dub thing, so I get your frustration. won't happen again.

Also... wump wup? (idk what that means but people sounded like it was a good thing.)

LOL, if anybody actually said wump wump to me at a night, I'd go home and destroy my vinyls and decks.

Was I over the line? If I was, hey bro don't take it too personal but I don't take anything back what I said.
And occasionally, some good shit gets posted on this general forum (recently, documentary on Not's scene, where the money goes, dark 4x4 garage...). So to laugh at calling some threads (let's face it, the majority) waste on a forum is...beyond me because it is a simple truth and they just drown out more interesting threads.

But seriously, no one sees the hilarity of threads like these? Did all of you seriously "roll" into a scene in a similar matter? Go online and ask for advice on how to dress, how to act, how to dance...that's really gay.

Times are a changing, perhaps it's because intardweb was barely around when I started going to the dance.

I don't know how you can be so pissed at a thread you spend significantly more time criticising it's existence than it would take to click out of it.

And I've been doing this in various forms for 20+ years it doesn't make me any more or less of an idiot than if I were looking forward to my first night tonight. Seems the guy is going out with his girl and wants to not look or act like an idiot. While we know that it's very unlikely anyone will think of him much he's asked a question if you don't want to answer it don't.

clueless glad you enjoyed it

I'm offski to prepare some moves for Kode9, laters

If I was going to a gig in a genre that I knew nothing about I wouldn't ask.

With a girl? Fuck yes I'd ask.

I have a thread here discussing the track, and offering you the chance to remix it, more details in thread! See what you can come up with!

surely you go, stand around watching folks skank and then pretty much know what to do?
you notice that all the folks seem pretty high, step 2, get high.
after that it`s all highness and bass

not really much to discuss after that

When I went to my first psy-trance party back in 1990 I knew f-all about electronic music, once the paper started kicking in I had no coice but to be a part of the music and dancefloor.

i admire ur honesty

N i understand the idea of a waste thread being waste, but as far as it being a "waste of your time" .... the fact that you show up in a thread automatically lifts all the responsibility off the OP, and on to yourself, regarding your own time management.

Anyway as per OP being a metalhead going to a rave, looking for pointers, imho that definitely has its place on the forum. Thread is a bit silly, but if it were a troll it would be such a non-annoying, modest attempt, that it wouldn't even register on my radar.

and yes you know we all have a troll radar
