Right, am on it this weekend. Nothing to do, housemate is out for the duration, place to myself 8)

Got a small piece I started on mid week to finish off, a couple of old albums I'd put aside for samping, and some funky hang drum CD I bought off a street player in Barcelona that I want to start messing with.

Ok, once the Grand Prix is finished I've got a project to finish off.

Started as a percussion programming sound design session the other day, then when I was switching between views I hit the wrong F key and accidentally loaded a kick sample in the place of one of the hat samples and suddenly I had a decent drum track.

Played with it a bit, few effects/randomisers on it to give some movement, then constructed a track around it. Found an old pad sample I made a while ago that I'd been looking to do something with, that provided the atmospherics, and a synth sample that was languishing in a similar folder to give some melody. Got the project to that nice 2mins mark at the moment, reckon write a bassline this afternoon, bit of variety on the programming, little atmospheric drop and I'll have something finished 8)

Laid down a relatively sparse drum pattern, added a simple-ish sub, and bang! The track is sounding wicked. Everything just complements each other, probably the best tune I've made. Gonna finish it with atmosphere's and fx, and possibly a string part, but pretty chuffed with it.
