Haha I have no idea. Maybe that's why I can't figure out how to use it. I hardly touch the thing, my friend pointed that out to me today and I was like hm... If I go to a different pattern though it goes away.

I'm thinking of getting rid of the thing because it doesn't make any sense. I read the manual and most of the stuff didn't work for me.

So strange that I find software easier to use than hardware.

It's a VL-Tone. It's a really weird little toy. it's pretty much only good for 8 bit noises and the different instruments pretty much all sound the same. I'm working on bringing some samples into kontakt right now, but I still haven't been able to get a decent sound out of it. It's fun to play with though. I think there's a similar model that's a little more advanced that has LFO's and envelopes and stuff.

ah, sweet. never seen that version with those round buttons before.

anyway yeah, most toys casios don't offer a lot of sound variety - but they're always fun to play. and sometimes those sounds fit very well in a track.

Also, even if you don't use it, the more stuff you have laid out in your studio the more badass it looks.

What is that device in front of your keyboard? Looks like some sort of sequencer/ drum machine. Whatever it is, it's a really good-looking piece of equipment.
