Cheers to everyone who as gave me feedback. Now...

C E S : I like it man, although it is a bit repetitive. Notes and melodies are cool. I like the break at the end but I'd say bring up the synth a little there.

take2 : First one is cool, nice bass sounds. Deep. Nice effects used, and melody really works. Second one is quite cool, though it seems like the intro - up to drop is dragging on a little, maybe add some FX or something to keep the listener interested. Third one, I like the intro, tablas and shit suit the intro well. Rest is cool.

RmoniK : Nice work dude, vocals sound really nice. Bass is cool too.

GV1 : I like tis man, it's upbeat. Intro is weird, which I like, panned bass is cool, gives a nice effect, When it's drops it reminds me of rap, but those vocal samples give it a ragga/reggae vibe, as well as the obvious dubstep vibes. Nice work on getting all that in! Nice one.

AMPR : Love it man, look forward to hearing it with some vocals on it as well.

Here is my track:
Soundcloud

It's back to what I feel more comfortable making, dark and atmospheric music. All feedback / critique welcome, cheers.

@ DJ Sampletank: Personally, it's not my style. The drop was imo OK. I don't know, I think it's just that it feels like it's lacking something. Try layering different stuff, and adding more melodies to it. ;)

@GV1: The drop came too sudden, and was pretty random for my taste. I like the samples that come in every once in a while, and I think you can make this into a really good tune! Sub was kinda quiet too imo.

@C_E_S Kick could use some high end, just to make it punch through more, and would be nice to see the bassline change more, it gets kind of boring after a while. Not bad for a first attempt, just need a little bit more work ;)

Just gotta add that @ninthy4, listened to your tune earlier, sooo good.
Sorry if my feedback was to no help for anyone, and if I came out as a douche. :P

Here's my WIP, still pretty raw, and I think I'm going to change the drop. Tell me what you guys thought about it! :)

Appreciate the feedback mate. I'm still getting to grips with the Virus, just asked the guys over on the Virus forums for advice on bringing up the sub as I seem to be a little stuck atm, I got the Low EQ up to the max, Sub Osc up to the max too. As for the drop being random, I think that has a lot to do with the Arp. I created a few variations, 1/8 seems to be a little fast (which is the current resolution I have it set to on the track). Simple might well work best here.

Still, it's WIP. The finished production in a few weeks should be much bigger. It's this kind of feedback I enjoy though.

Edit: I think I need to get these KRK's out and get some decent monitors in. These are giving me some low end response, but when listening on poor headphones, iPhone, and other devices much of the low end seems to be missing.

Thanks for the comments

@GV1 Akhirah - Really like where this is going. the keyboard and vocal work really well i think. nice work man!

@tuckerlinen could be nice man.. already sounds cool. i think it could do with a vocal sample and maybe ease up on the bell type sound thats on the left. i like it...

@Darj "You" is a really cool track. not to keen on the snare rim and clap samples. wanna hear the finished version of this one.

A CLIP OF MY NEW WIP - "STROBE". Tell me what you think!!

@C_E_S: I feel like this is an instance where a nice reverb would sit perfectly on the sub. I dig the percussion -- especially that delayed hit at :04 that pops up now and again. Likewise, a touch of extra reverb on the drums would expand the space of the track, make it feel even more enveloping. Like standing at the jaws of a cave and feeling the raw pressure of ancient wind ruffle the very skin you wear. That's what I'm getting out of the track, at least.

@Swaggr: I have little to say; you seem to have everything in its place already. The synth with vibrato (introduced at :28) could benefit from a volume adjustment. Then again, I love the dynamics in the track. Perhaps the snare could use some body. I like your track composition, as well. I'm really looking forward to the finished track. :)

@acrap: Needs some bass~! A sub layer to add impact, for sure. A bit of reverb on your main synth would also help the unnatural decay and fill in some of the empty areas. I think that the snare could use a bit of low-end punch, and the background guitar-like synth could use some more melody. The synth doesn't seem particularly suited for pads/layering, but feels like it should provide a counterpoint to your front/center synth. (The section from :48 to :51 pains me; something as straightforward as a hi-pass slowly rising would help immensely, 'cos as it is, it just sounds like a synth patch with no real movement.)

Any thoughts on the chewy stuff below? It's a rougher cut than usual, but I think someone can help me make the track a bit... more. Better than what I have so far, at the least.

@kikaruu i like the idea of it. i just think that the lead sound could be made a little less harsh and maybe the vocoder stuff is a bit much, making it a bit muddy. still good though. nice work

@blinkesko hahaha. oh dear sample had me crackin up. didn't expect that at all. not normally my type of thing but i really like it from 1:37 onwards. sick change up

@DJ Sampletank cool idea. i think it could have a bit more power after the drop and you could probably afford to be a bit more harsh with the beep sounds panning automation. thats what i think anyway. like the end bit alot.

@jkz deep. really like it. the snare sample(s) put me off a bit though. might be the reverb. apart from that its a new favourite

@alexeyhermann This got me going.. love the atmosphere it gives of. really nice track man. nice work

Brand new Idea. All tracks here are WIPs. Feedback on at least one of them would be really appreciated. 1 more track on my soundcloud as well!!!

@kikaruu siiick track there, but it seems like the snares/claps arent showing enough, i can def bob my head to this though :D
@acrap nice track, maybe try out some other sounds in the back, or some cymbals to help that high pitch bass blend in a bit :3 just try to soften up that high freq bass
fixed my most recent track up, added some more sounds, another drop, etc, any suggestions?

C_E_S: some quality sounds man, my only suggestion is more SPACE... let it breathe a little

take2: you have two completely different ideas going down on this track... intro doesn't really mesh well with the rest of the tune, imo... in terms of the main section, i would maybe try cutting out some of the midrange mud on that synth to help clean things up a bit. just a few thoughts :6:

heres one i've been working on... a few of the sounds need some tuning and i kinda lost the plot towards the end of the track... any and all comments/suggestions welcome!

@Dougriley
I like your drums, Mid bass sounds good if a bit too brosteppy for me.
I'd say add a few more pads and percussion to your intro to keep it interesting until the mid bass assault kicks in.
Maybe even a few Machine Hits.

@Swaggr
Not really a fan of the track although it does sound well put together (Besides a slight distort I'm receiving could be the eq?)

@C_E_S
Liking the percussion and the low end, snare seems a bit weak but besides that I am a fan of what you got so far.
Second track is sounding BIG, love the intro and the mid and low end all sits together well I'd probably just add a few more percussion channels in (Although I am a whore for percs)

This is something I spent a hour or two on a few weeks ago that I completely forgot about, I'm not really sure on it but my brother keeps telling me to round it off
Any feedback appreciated!

@Swaggr: Liking the groove you got going on this tune! Good mix down as well really thumping it.
@ kikaruu: Def got some nice sounds going here, good mix! Might need a tad punchier snare so its coming through more. but i like!
@DJ Sampletank: Got a really trippy kinda feel to this song, which i think is great! could try an add in a pad or higher end synth after the second drop?
@ blinkesko: sick track man. Like the change up to the 4x4 beat at the end, its sounding tight.
@C_E_S: Awesome perc, loving the bongo sounds. Good laid back eerie vibes. Maybe a tad more top end on the snare.

Feedback would be much appreciated on my tune. Cheers

@ Pazza,
you need to give at least 3 people feedback before you request some for yourself mate, thems the rules round here mate.

c-e-s

some nice drum work, the snare sound a little too weak though, and the bass line gets repetative. The bass sound its self could do with something to make it more interesting.

sampletank

like the nintendo style sounds in there, nice variation, not really my kind of tune but good still,

acrap

like kikaruu said with the bit @ 48 seconds, good build up at the beggining built tension well, good ideas with the main synth but seems to lack that little bit of grittyness,
not keen on the 2nd main part of the tune, the first bit has got some real potential although i would say the main synth is bit ear piercing.

in the crowd,

your bro is right, finish it, got cool vibe to it lovin the drums
