Did they? I didn't know that and really enjoyed the Mars Volta the other year at some festival.

Mars volta are fucking brilliant, deloused in the comatorium is one of my favourite albums

atdi, mars volta, cardiacs are all pretty good.

reel big fish are yank ska punk though, no rock about them!

The Faceless, Necrophagist, Beneath The Massacre, Born Of Osiris are some of my favorite death metal bands.
But System of a Down will always hold my heart as far as rock goes.

My band played with beneath the massacre when they where over here with despised icon a few years ago

And, Veil of Maya is excellent. Best metal band at Summer Slaughter last year. Animals as Leaders killed it though.
I haven't heard their new album come to think of it.

yeah animals as leaders were really good when i saw them supporting BTBAM a few weeks ago

Nah I'm glad they split up, imo their music gradually got better and peaked at this album. Too many bands just rinse it and go downhill. Relationship of Command is a pretty fackin good way to go out!
