@PAZZA - I feel like I've heard this before, because those stabs are awfully familiar. This is good, dude, smooth wobble and nice open atmosphere. I really have nothing to say in terms of improvement because it doesn't need any >_>.

@ATTICUH - Those side chain type swooshes are amateur sounding, you should try developing the patch. The drop was underwhelming, you should make it more chorussy instead of a little groove like you've got there. Also the snare sucks and needs to be brought out more. The upbeat part was ok. The second chorus was the best part.

@FILTERSNAKE - This has promise, although the little sub/mid thing you have going in the intro is weak, need to beef it up. HOLY SHIT THAT WAS THE PERFECT SAMPLE BREAK BEFORE THE DROP IT BROUGHT THE GROOVE TO SWAG LEVEL! Winning, man, winning swag beast blood. Great job.

Here is a WIP from me, it is me being the best rapper alive. I just wanna know how the kick sits with the sub and shit, ya know.

@inthecrowd - sweet intro man, i've kinda been going for something like this.. intro wise. i think that sub is a bit strong. but the patters sound good for sure.

@filtersnake - intro is very spacey indeed. drop is a bit muddy imo, turn some of those synths down some and lower the reverb. the grime drop sounds good, the song is structured quite well. sweet synth work though, i really dig it alot.

@atticuh - not my style, but its a good idea for sure. the mixdown sounds a bit flat on the drums, and the synths could def come up. the vocal samples are great though. good work man.

@Pazza - nice grove in the intro. synts all sound great. the kick could be a bit more powerful. snare sounds good. vocal samples are nice as well. i'd variate the plucky synth on the upbeats a little. overall a very nice track. i really like it.

@chaddub - lol man, this cracked me up. the beat sounds great btw. sub and kick sit nicely. epic for sure!

@jimbeax really like it man, sounds sick. the only thing i wasn't a fan of was the lead you had come in around 1:37. idk, sounds like too many high frequencies.. maybe if it was an ocatave lower, or if you brought down the filter level.. idk just a suggestion.

@chaddub: the beat sounds crisp man, kicks and sub sound good on my headphones lol

@filtersnake: definitely work on eq-ing the kick.. you might want to layer it too. make it a bit more punchy. i feel like both the kick and snare get drowned out by everything else. also, i would suggest messing around with some hihat patterns, just to make it a little more groovy/head-noddy. the drop is really cool though!

here's my wip, nearly finished. feedback would be awesome :D

@CHADDUD You def have a southern style here, sloppy choppy rap style. Production sounds allright. Square wav sounds allright Levels sound tight. The track sounds good.

@ JIMBEAUX that beg reminds me of prince of persia very nice. The bass here is solid just enough LFO automation going on and enogh breaks with little sounds thrown in. I like that you have a full kit too and the flutes going too. For some reason I dont like that scream sound maybe its just me, if it was cleaner or a guitar it wood sound cooler. SOlid trackk though.

@MR_OOZE you seem a little over compressed and that synth sound could come down in one frequency i HEAR. The bass comes in strong but watch your midrange its sounds peaking. In general I would just learn more about EQ>

Heres mine, nothing special just dont know where to take it or what to add, just want some people to hear it! Here it is the second dropout is just a copy really , so is the second part of the main section

@ChadDub haha awesome. sub and kick mix very well. i feel like its missin some sounds/instruments with a percussive hit to them, adding those on syncopated beats adds a little bounce to rap/hip hop tracks that ive heard a lot lately.

@jimbeax love the sounds you have in there. i feel like the drop could hit a little harder if you did a quick silence of your track on the 4th beat and added a reverse snare or build leading up to the silence. the mid growl in there works really well i think it could just use that quick offset of *HOLD YOUR BREATH* and then it punches you in the face with the drop.

@mr ooze the dark dance beat here is really cool. the intro kinda drags a little for me cause it doesnt build on itself that much (just my taste though). maybe try building an extra layer every 2 bars or something, but the sound is great. also i like that 16th hat you added to the beat after the drop. maybe add a few of those (sparingly of course) into the intro or even another blip synth on off beats, cause the blip you have in there only plays on the down and up beats and that tiny bit of extra rythm helps move the intro

In terms of rapping, I win with very few lines ...

Beat was nice though bro. Very comical ripping the shit out of Lil Wayne. I actually thought it was him for a moment.

That isn't a rip on Lil Wayne, that's just how I rap.

@C_E_S: Enjoy the style, Adjust your drum elements, I feel the snare should have a bigger place in the mix and perhaps a variation in the bass from time to time, you don't want to get to repetitive.

@Swaggr: Nice ideas, but I think the mix needs work, atleast to me it sounds like its clipping.

@Filtersnake: Dig the drum work really nice, not my style, not a fun of the 10 bass sounds in 3 seconds thing but I can appreciate the production value, Midrange and highs sitting nicely, not much going on in the lows however?

Subjective reviews.

Heres mine, a few new ideas.

Cheers for the input guys.

C E S - Productions cool, drums are ace. Bass is very nice too. Quality overall.

dougriley - Really like the vibes in this one, and when the drums come in it's cool, I just hink the intro takes a little long to get to that.

take2 - Loving it. Nice dark sounds. Drums are very nice. Nice atmosphere.

jimbeaux - Banging. Counter melody at like 1.36 is just fantastic. Everything seems cool level wise etc.

Astral - Real nice man. Nice vibes, and those shakers make it for me. Really like this man, hit me up if when finish this one ;)

Alright folks, just sharing this track, try and get some input before I have another go at it in the next few days, so any and all feedback is great. Trying out a bass I made too(SUB). Cheers guys.

@jimbeaux really cool track, I like your uses of atmospheres, i dont hear that enough in dubstep. The lead at 1:37 is really cool but I think its a little hard on the ears, maybe too loud or something?

@mr ooze awesome take on house, it sounds slower and much grimier. i like the growling synth a lot and the 2nd drop when its mostly just sub bass

@paradigm this sounds like some journeying music. its got this transcendent moving feeling, i could definitely blast this with the windows down mobbing down the coast. i dont really hear anything i would change, the production is pretty clean. good work

@astral ya those shakers are fuckin good. it rattles around inside my head, i like the panning with it. stoked to hear the drop

@Sampletank DOPE this is deep as fuck. loving the glitches, did you resample or did you use a vst effect for that? people would get raw to that, only thing id suggest is maybe switch it up a little bit, all of the drops sound very similar

Here is my first try to do a dubstep remix. What do you think? I'm still working on the main part, it's somehow not hitting hard enough I think

Hey guys, been messing with a footwork(y) track lately, and I'm not really delighted with how the sub-bass turned out... any idea how to make it sound better in the master? It's a really simple, sine-wave synth patch.

Cheers for all the feedback guys much appreciated! I am making inprovements :W:

@chaddub: liking the unique rapping style. Would be nice if you could also release maybe an instrumental version of your song? big ups!
@mr_ooze: Love the groove man. those blips are siickkk. You could add little glitches in now and again maybe every 8/16 bars that would be cool. But overall the production is sounding tight, bass is thumpin'!
@astral: Beefy Kick dude! Great atomspherics going on here. sounds like a massive hunk of song. Cant really fault it much apart from that it wasn't me that produced this track! ;-)

That was sick, GV1. I wish I could produce beats like this. I wish I knew where the fuck to get accapellas like that too.
