but that being said, it is naturally your choice.

you`ve made it so what difference does it make what we think.
macbooks have a much better build quality IMO. and every PC that iv witnessed has slowed down.

i still want a PC for gaming and just to have a cheaper powerhouse but i want to limit it to production/gaming and minimal browsing. then ill have a macbook for everything else...

but i dont have the money to buy both right now and buying a desktop is not practical for me right now...so i needa get a mbp.
you do realize that macs and PC's pretty much use the same parts? the only huge difference is the OS.

if you were any good with computers, you'd know that PC's don't magically "slow down"

thats not what the other kid was just arguing...but my point is that PC's seem to slow down considerably after a year or 2 where my macs always seem snappy as ever even after 3-4 years..

To finally answer your questions:

The i7 2.4 is one of the best mobile processors around right now. Music production won't phase it in the least bit. These things are designed to take a beating for hours. For example, i've overclocked processors and stress tested them under 100% load for over 24 hours. Everything went fine.

As for Diablo 3, the processor isn't the thing I would worry about. I'd be more concerned about the GPU getting hot. Even then, that won't be an issue at all.

thanks lol. for some reason while playing games tho macs cpus heat up...they just use more cpu than windows do for games.

i think im going to buy a MBP for now and then in a couple years build a killer desktop pc so i get the best of both worlds...
