He went on to play one of the best sets ive ever heard. I know people over exaggerate him because of his ego and whatnot, but despite who he is i loved his set. Wileys wot you call it instrumental into the lyrical version was amazing. He also played Natalias song, always good live, and Alothea! I recorded a lot of it on my phone so ill try get some videos up tomorrow.
Hes also the first person i've ever seen to smoke on stage at WHP. Everybody must think 'what a w*nker being able to smoke on stage and nobody says shit', but everybody would love to be that powerful. Fair play, he knows what hes doing.

sounds emotional

what a fucking night at the WHP. Aphex was rammed and I was waiting to come up for like 4 hours off this MD but come Hudson Mohawke I was nicely mashed. Getting seriously into it and then my mate spotted zomby and my night was made.
He comes on stage. Bottle of champagne and spliff after spliff. (could of been cigs though but thats not as cool...)
Played what was to be expected. A few of his tunes, a lot of grime, some jungle and that south style hip-hop.
Me being mashed at the end i got myself to the front where some guy was like "Zomby i love your stuff but what the fuck was that?" I nearly kicked off haha.
Right at the end as he was leaving the stage he was maskless

It was like some un-godly moment ha. I dont know how to describe him to you but ive never seen his face about in other like group photos but it's deffo not Skream haha! My mate was like "He's uglier than i thought he'd be" hahahaha

ah ok i've read that thread a bunch of times but didn't know that was ben ufo which makes it even better. Wish i had seen him and damu go at it on twitter!
Just got the Japanese rip of Dedication and the only two new songs I really like are gates of hell and labyrinth, kind of disappointed

his set was good, but not great. at least the speakers didn't fuck up like last time i saw him. aphex twin, hudmo and moths were brilliant though

i was just happy he showed. I bought my ticket really to see him. Not going for his mixing skills or really his selection just for the rariety of getting to a zomby gig. Its been a goal of mine for almost a year now and I wasn't let down. To see someone lurking around the stage with that Guy-Fawkes mask on towards the back end of HudMo's set absolutely made my night.
His selection was nice as well tho. Lots of grime classics and it was a nice change to what Aphex and HudMo (and the others really..) were playing. The dancefloor by then was nice. It was fucking awful for Aphex Twin I think 90% of people went to WHP just for him last night because it was like being stood at the front at a festival wherever the fuck you stood. It kind of spoilt it a tad really couldnt get into any of the tunes without someone trying to budge past.

basically Damu had been calling him a prick on twitter and asking people what he should throw at him at WHP.
Zomby basically said bring it.
nothing happened.
lol.
(although Damu tweeted he did see zomby and said, What's UP, let's go! or some shit like that which Zomby ignored)
zomby claimed it never happened.
i feel like these two are just flame baiting all of us though lol

and why is damu shouting his mouth off on twitter anyway? you can't have a go at zomby if you're gonna pull a zomby yourself.

damu was there apparently. not that i care about all of this, i'm into both of the guys for their tunes not their personalities.

i agree, it was nice of him to show up. i've seen him once before though and his set was much better then i thought. he actually mixed his tunes. also, he did vary his set from the others to be fair to him, he did also play some idm though so it wasn't completely different from aphex twins set.

It's pretty obvious that damu has been heavily influenced by zombys music...
Anyway hard to believe the beef is real
