Jackknife - Set Blasters To Kill (dubstep/wtfstep)

Post by Jackknife » Mon Nov 21, 2011 8:20 pm

Another track I was working on prior to the collapse of civilization, I mean my computer, finished it up yesterday, still considering it a work in progress, all feedback is greatly appreciated and of course feedback for feedback! :4:

The melodies and drum patterns all work very well! I'd just work on perfecting the individual sounds.
Some sound a bit thin, try layering them some more. Maybe add a couple of subtle distortions, some verbs and other fx to the synths.
Maybe change the snare, it sounds quity hissy. I'd love to hear a little more punch.

Good job though, I like the style and there's nothing wrong with the composition, just the individual sounds need some work.

your synths sound good their just not even in the beginning, maybee if you ran them all through a compressor that would even them out, thats what I had to do. Keep the sub on a different channel. A couple sounds stick out but thats allright, your gettin the hang of it. Keep it up!
...wanna collab? Im down for new sounds, send me a PM please.

Wow, I love your bass synth, however it could use a little more sub imo, though that sound might have been what you were going for. Although I do think that you should maybe put in another synth in the background or maybe add in some FX, it just sounded a little dry. I still love it, and atleast it's just a WIP, you can still improve it!
