I'd have to say icicle was one of the friendliest Dj's/producers i've spoken to. Supported him when he played over here, bought him a couple of drinks and talked about music.

Nice guy. Also rather tall

Proper nice bloke.
Yeah he is! Not seen him in ages!

Mostly when I bump into producers/DJs I just say "Really enjoyed that set, thank you!". I've chatted with Silkie, Quest, Plastician. Have a tendency to hang out with Unlikely at festivals.

I saw Mad Professor on a bus, I said "are you Mad Professor??"
He said "Yes' and got off the bus.

One of my best friends' dad is Rob Smith/RSD, so I've had multiple cups of tea, general chit chat with him. He has about 385734062752840 reggae 7" in his house, the walls are literally lined with 'em.
Once after one of his sets I offered to buy him a drink, he bought me two and ran away giggling like a schoolgirl.

Appleblim is really fucking sound. Peveralist is really nice too.

Like someone mentioned above, Pinch is ridiculously tall and I've never seen him smile.

I said hello to Kahn as he tried to chat up a girl, he says "yeah so...I'm DJ Kahn" and the girl says "...I don't know who that is"

C-Strike-Z stole my lighter.
My name is Dom and I like making ambientish music and drinking tea. Nice to meet you.

I wonder what all the famous people think of the attention/harrassment... everyone saying "Oh yeah such-and-such isn't nice/friendly/cool etc" might just have pressed some bad buttons that particular occasion!

my ex was a huge social butterfly - so I would stand sort of behind/next to him...
and listen to all his conversations...

I stared at producers from over his shoulder - creepy right...

I used to wear this - holographic bindi on my forehead
- so you could see outerspace if the light hit it just right..

but back in the day when D+B was just coming out - it wasn't that popular...(in the states)
so it was the two of us and like....10 other kids in the lobby with the junglists
- made for really intimate scene...

Karl K and Kaos were completely approachable...they actually recognized us at parties and would talk...
Odi when he worked at sattelite was great on the phone - he would tell us everything he knew...
Reid Speed also...bought many records from her..
slept on Dara's floor once...after the Roni Size - Represent record release party at Twilo...

chilled at a house party where Trace, Method 1, K+KAOS were passing bowls to us in the living room..

We were road trippers so we hit parties far and wide...
and there was a whole crew of kids from other cities that did the same...
so the crew was much more than just the Artists...

long time ago - scene took a beating...more of a raping I suppose..
I fell off in a way - went back to school...
I'm still here though...

I've met Deleted Scenes (separately) but I'm not feeling the whole the fanboy thing--I've seen it and its sheer frightening how some people react--so I'm composed when I speak to people, regardless of who they are; so my conversations were more cheeky, as in do you have any tp/dubplates of future releases on you to sell me or what's in the bag or future releases on their label(s) and ultimately requests in a set.

I found it mildly amusing myself looking up at Pinch when speaking to him, though. I'm 5'10'' and almost 6' with shoes on!

I had a little chat with Borgore, Doctor P and Cookie Monsta (ye I know) 2 years ago.

Was front-rowing a set of Reso and Phaeleh. Phaeleh seemed to appreciate it because the rest wasn't enjoying his music but me and my mate were eyes closed and enjoying every second of it. Gave him a handshake after the set.

Yeah Phaeleh's sets are amazing. The first time I saw him live I had never even heard of him so I wasn't really expecting anything, but I was genuinely impressed by his set.

I met Mala & Loefah at the Melkweg last month. The most friendly dubstep producer I chatted to was definitely Kode9, I met him when he was DJ'ing in Amsterdam earlier this year and I had a chat with him for like half an hour

Went to see Silkie in Brooklyn for my birthday this year, ended up having a nice chat with him at the bar. Got a birthday hug followed by a two hour set (more like a mixing clinic though lol). Me and my buddies close out the bar at 4am with him wasted outside on the sidewalk with some chick. Good times were had. :6:
