yeah no it gives me some good ideas. i kinda figured out how to work in drugs into my workflow if im dying for some creative influence.
-- start with some alcohol and get drunk so i really get into the beat then add some simple shit and a hi hat or 2 then pass out on my bed with a bunch of weird text messages that i dont remember sending.
-- work on the song the next day making all those things you made sound more cohesive then go to work really anxious about your dubstep song that probably sounds retarded to anyone else. get home and make it sound not retarded and then eat some food then work more.
-- thent he next day get really fucking high and listen to it again. you have to do this in just your underwear and the only food you can eat is spaghetti and icecream. listen to about 8 hours worth of dubstep radio mixes. watch 2 hours of tim & eric awesome show great job. consider driving to the store for more soda before realizing youve been standing looking at the door for 30 minutes.
-- write down all your ideas you just had and put them into the song and viola weed has saved the day. you now have a full fledged song you can thank me later.

Pot always gives me great ideas, im more inspired and i just enjoy the music a lot more! even though i love music sober, but i mean either way. If you dont smoke that often, i could see how it may be a little hard to focus, but if your a stoner such as meself, it doesn't really make much of a difference besides making it more fun...
now oxycontin.. now that just makes it really hard. been fighting to keep my eyes open lol. enjoying the music tho!
drugs and music just mix!

I produce either sober or stoned, sometimes I can just work on a track stoned out of my nut other times I just can't deal with looking at some bright screen and trying to make something but its ends up being shite. Mind you I smoke a spliff to myself which usually has enough weed in it for 2/3 people lol.

not sure if anyone has said this yet, but whenever you get stuck on a tune and frustrated, before you give up, try walking away, smoking a joint, and coming back to it. it'll give you an objective perspective like non other.
i produce stoned all the time, and it definitely helps with creativity. just puts you in the perfect mind state for making tunes if you ask me

i smoked weed ALOT about a year ago, everyday for about 2 years, and i was making really good tracks for what i was capable of, it also helped my concentration ALOT.
but since i stopped, my tolerance went right down and i cant smoke 5 tokes without getting super melted/paranoid.
so 2 days ago, i had a couple of tokes from a joint with my dad. i sat down, and i wanted to make a dark dubstep beat (check the one in my sig, thats what i made)
because i was stoned, i was super concentrated and had MAD ideas flowin through my brain and that really helped but i dont want to go back to smoking it full time, so im seeing what happens when i dont and make a track
as with everything, its trial and error, what works for you might not work for other people.

once i microwaved an 8th and opened the microwave door. was hit with an immense vapor/smoke mixture that shot up my nostrils and rendered me absolutely fucking wasted for the rest of the day
I might've made a beat, can't remember
We were microwaving it cuz my dealer friend had recieved a pack of really bricked together kinda schwaggy moist.. but it wasn't god-awful, ya get me.. so i decided to wrap it in a moist paper towel and zap it to try dehydrating it/fluffing it up a little and i overdid the cook.

i used to smoke constantly and produce high all the time

. i have slowed down significantly in the past few months and my tolerance has dropped quite a bit. Tried working on a track stoned the other night, and the loops that I had made while sober were messing with my head and bugging me out too much

, so I just switched off my daw and watched videos for a while then went to bed. My point is that there are many many factors involved in how smoking will effect one's production on a given day.
