No, this is not to do with how he makes sounds, I just remember seeing a post here a while back which had a link to Skrillex's Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, but before it was called that, when it was a WIP/unreleased. I want to have a listen to that track again, but the name escapes me. It was definitely called something different to what it is now. Anyway, thought it would be interesting to compare the two versions.
P.S. I have tried using search, but I can't find anything through it.

It was called FM-8 after the software he used to make it. Hope that helps
