Police and press need to sort their shit out before making statements- people died and they don't know why yet but they feel fit to tell the world thats it's ecstasy related....how does that help the friends/families of those died, or how does it help get a clear understanding of what happened and help prevent it in future?!?anadin-xtra wrote:i've just read this in the metro....it says there is no proof of drug use...just police scaremongering......more likely a few mates being naive and doing stupid drug mixes like the majority of meow deaths
Joanna Yeates landlord in court today- Police went ahead and told the press they were questioning him as a murder suspect when they could have said he was helping with their enquiries, media went wild with it saying what a weird paedo he is- probably completely ruined an innocent mans life and harmed the investigation.

Totally, They just run with this shit it's so frustrating. Fair enough, drugs are illegal for some good reasons and obviously there are dangers with taking them, but to just assume that these people had taken drugs or indeed a "rough batch" of said drug, whatever that means, is such an easy first call.
I remember an article about a guy who died at freshers week at a club night about 2 years back, he said he felt weird and walked outside and collapsed. The papers immediately spouting drugs related bullshit but it turned out it was sudden arrhythmic death syndrome or SADS, no trace of I don't think even alcohol, let alone drugs. It was the bass that had killed him
Still real sad that this happened at AP though.

Some posh student bird writing in the paper (either Metro or Daily Mail, either way they're both run by the same company) said everywhere she went in Leeds she got fiended on by other students acting like zombies and asking things like 'Got any 'drone?'... she obviously was too much of a goody two-shoes to indulge in such behaviour and was shocked at it's prominence but...dubloke wrote:me and everyone i knew always called it meow for years, but i got rinsed when i went up to Leeds and called it thatleyenda303 wrote:Lol absolutely hilarious that the press coined the phrase Meow Meow. I've lived in Leeds for 23 years, been going to town and drinking since 14, raving at DnB and dubstep nights since 16 in '06 and no-one has ever asked me for it or offered to sell me it when I'm out
On topic: it won't have been MDMA that killed these people, probably someone thought they could get away with cutting up some stuff with washing powder to sell to n00bz

And it can get cold if you're nowhere near fire, and a bit boring to just sit by a fire while others play.
