I also got pretty pissed off when I read, but when I thought about it, I think it was intended in such a way. Think of the huge PR machine behind Korn, they want to elicit such kind of response and create this kind of conversation, it's just how marketing works these days.
The best thing to do is to ignore them.

And for the record, by the same token, Hendrix was dubstep before Korn was even a bunch of floating sperms - so this argument is really leading nowhere.
