Hey guys, so I've been producing for 3 weeks max now (Hated EDM for ages, spur of the moment bought Skrillex tix and saw Deadmau5 in London last night and am now stupidly into it ^^) and was wondering how you think my progress has been, I use Logic Pro 9 and NI Massive with a Macbook Pro, tell me what you think of my progress in my 'song' so far below! I plan to have lyrics over it as well, hence no lead synths atm ^^

Also, NO samples have been used, and everything has been made by me ^^

To say you have used no samples is a big call, I couldn't synthesise all of my drums now and I've been producing for near on a year

Wait ahaha, I might have got samples and loops mixed up, idk ^^ What I mean is, I didn't use any pre made drum patterns or anything, I made them myself in Ultrabeat etc

A sample is a one-shot, like one snare hit, or someone saying "Aw yeah!" that you can use anywhere in your track.
A loop is just that: a loop, usually 4-8 bars but could be more or less, that gets repeated. It could be a drum pattern or a bassline or anything.
Your track sounds pretty good, way better than I was doing after 3 weeks, haha. I like the sounds you've constructed, it's well-structured, and the drums are mixed nicely. Well done!

i like the pumping lead, but the bass cuts through too much.
