Faster Hat Patterns in Logic and FL

Post by Crow Steppa » Mon Nov 28, 2011 1:52 am

Got a quick question for you guys. This shit has been bugging me and I can't find the solution anywhere. I've been trying to figure out how to make the notes in the piano roll play faster and how to make the notes smaller (I think they're 1/16 notes and I want them to be 1/32 notes). The only way I've figured out to do it is to change the bpm of the track to 280 bpm and make the hats fast and stretch the kicks and snares out more and then bounce the track into a folder and put it back into the song I'm making at 140 bpm. Is there a way to do this without having to do all that bullshit? I'm using both Logic and FL so either one would be nice to know. Thanks! :6:

Top left of the piano roll window. There's a magnet icon, click that and choose a smaller time scale to snap to.

Ta-da!

Super experimental.

I have a thread here discussing the track, and offering you the chance to remix it, more details in thread! See what you can come up with!

In Logic you can change the time signature right next to the BPM. Right under 1/4 theres /8 you can change to anything up to /192

yup, it's not being converted to new code, just being put into a customized wrapper to work in the osx enviroment. the one thing im worried about is the third party vsts not working with it as Komplete 8 is my weapon of choice.

hold the "ALT" key while re sizing a piano roll note, it ignores the magnet settings and lets you freely draw notes.
