Im a born Lutonian and tbh its just as shit as most places, gets a lot of stick, some of it justified some not imo.

There's nothing at all going on in terms of entertainment apart from the local crack heads in the centre fighting over 50p :)

Pretty much this, no one is interested in doing anything. I tried putting on a few nights and only had a handfull of people turn up each time. Sometimes i feel like a plague has swept over the town and just drained everyones souls!

I have been to some good nights in Luton, last month at the Carnival Arts Centre was wicked, but yer agreed that most nights put on are sparse, ive seen plenty of tumble weeds blowing through venues :) And the thing is you can see someone has tried their best to put something on and it just becomes an epic fail!

Best nights of course were exodus back in the 90's.

Working in the town centre is depressing, I remmeber a local councilor trying to big up Luton a few years back saying, "its a great place, we have the Galaxy Centre and the Mall..." Ermmmm says it all really about the mentality

Yeah exactly this, The Mall is fucking dire, high street stores add nothing to a towns personality/culture. Luton is in desperate need of something exciting.

Luton is easyjets base airport i think. It's only a 30 minute train to central london though so not too bad.

oh 30 min? meh, that's not all that bad, i would've preferred bristol or something though, i think easyjet flies there as well. so when i heard luton, i'm sure you could imagine my disappointment..
