@Congojack: Drop is sick in this! love the bass sounds going on and the vocal samples. Production sounds clean. Looking forward to the complete tune!
@DJSampletank: Great dark vibes in this. I like your use of extra percussion and incidentals. maybe use less of the yoi. change it up a bit. Good production though
@atticuh: Love your take on this remix. the percussion is ace. Production sounds good. Maybe in the main drop use a bit of sidechaining to give it an extra punch. I look forward to hearing the final thing!

http://soundcloud.com/volatile-psycle

The tune up there at the moment is a tune we've made for a cage fighter thats local to us for his next fight and will be going out on sky sports4.

I'd love to hear what you think, I'll be getting on some reviews myself once I've moved house!

DJ Sampletank: Nice and chill. Vary up the bit crushed part and I'd bang it.

Congojack: Some great sounds in there. I haven't been able to do lasers as good as those. What filters are you using? Great tune.

Filtersnake: HUGE tune. Well written, danceable, mix is great. Good stuff.

New stuff I'm working on. Haven't had as much time as I would like, but it will get going.

Please give feedback to AT LEAST 3 people before you post your track.. If you don't you'll probably not get feedback yourself. Its just common decency anyways!

@DJSpampletank - It's original that's for sure. I like the way you've used the elements in this. Very laid back and minimalistic. I like. I love the one in your signature swell!

@filtersnake - Track reminds me of something, but I can't think what. Sort of reminds me of the Dubstep I'd listen to whilst watching the sun set with a beer … at the start at least. I love the way the drop comes in unexpected like that. There is a certain key in the baseline that sounds out, but it's not. I like that too. Overall a clean production. Really digging this.

@jetpack - A little plain, and not really keen on those lfo's. I can see where you're going with it though. Not a bad effort.

This is what Alcohol and Nyan Cat does to you

Like I said in the orignal post, I'm moving house so all my listening equipment is packed up.
That post was also put up on a tiny little notebook and I'm now at work so I have nowhere to listen where I can give decent/detailed feedback.
Once I'm set up in my new abode i'll be bang on it :D

@Jetpack: What are those samples from they're hilarious! Drums are head nodding and production is pretty good, if a little bare for my tastes.

@PhilthyLoman: Really cinematic and BIG this song is big but where's the drop?

@GV1: You got that song stuck in my head again! Not a fan of the transformers-style big songs but have to say it fits with that damn song haha.

@jkz: Those swells are sexy right at the beginning and the hats are really excellently shuffled, also I love the minimal drops style with that whole "nothing lead up to this drop and it doesn't really get crazy here i just wanted to stop the track for a second" really gives it some space for things to clear up and for the song to breathe.

This is something I just started, working on multiband effects and it's really outside my element, comments on the mix would be most appreciated.

You're not the first person to say that. I got complaints from friends about reminding them of Nyan Cat. Thanks for the feedback mate. I'll give your track a listen in a moment and leave some feedback for you.

@ GV1: Thats some trippy shit right there haha. bet you had a lot of fun making it. nice production and glitching up dude!

@djsampletank - loving those following rides after the snares. Whole tune has a rather eerie vibe (not sure if that's intentional or not). Tbh though when that midrange bass comes in the vibe of the tune is lost. I'd look at using something else.
@filtersnake - that snare could do with some more top end, it sounds a bit flat. top end synths need a little more eq to help them sit right, sounds like there's a little masking going on.
@jetpack - too many sub drops imho, overdone they lose their appeal. What exactly in that tune makes it "purple" - I'm not hearing anything that gives it that effect. Like the sample, but wobble doesn't really seem like it fits.
@volatile - then don't post, simple as that.
@reliq - I'm really not sure where to start with that, it's so different to what I'm used to hearing, I don't know how to deconstruct it. haha.If anything I'd probably drop that breathing sound or whatever is every 2nd beat (starting on the 1st). It gets a little droning after a while.

The following is a tune I'll be releasing for free once my new soundcloud account gets 100 followers. This is the first tune in my change in tone in regards to professionalism, so I am after some really detailed, critical feedback (if possible). If you like it, follow me and watch for the release (share the love) :)

The last WIP I posted (Expecting Resistance), decided to do a Drum & Bass type remake of it.. Think it works better than the dubstep version but let me know what you think! Think I will probs change the synths in the intro to the stabs from the other version.. May keep both versions - Who knows!

Soundcloud

subfect - Chill vibes man, really great job.. The mixdown is outstanding and the sounds have just enough verb on to create a good full atmosphere. Awesome job.

Reliq - I like the screaming type of sound and the percussion is very original and good! Not tooo keen on the bleepy synth but I like the vibe it is giving.. The snare sound needs to cut through the mix a LOT more. Are you purposefully going for a chiptune vibe or have you just over loved the downsampling?

jkz - Nice synths and vibe. I don't know what it taking up all that space after the drop and making it pump slightly as I hear no sub but something in your mix needs altering

PhilthyLoman - GREAT dark vibes! Mixdown definitely needs work though..

GV1 - Haha, nutty tune! The synths are really weird but I think I like it
Ascian - Expecting Resistance

is it just me or is this near enough plagarism of Rutten - Skream.

if not, VERYYYY similar vibes, especially the bassline.

P.S, i never actually set out the copy or emulate that track, i just kept working and its turned out like that :(

feedback would be appreciated.

doing my own feedback in this one btw, dunno why, but i always do.

@DJ Sampletank. i like it, very creepy. The transition into the bassy bit is abit off though, and the bass sounds sound a little to distorted for me personally, but sounds pretty good mate.

@Ascian. FUCK thats sounding nice. i love your lead for it. sounds very very full. ill be keeping my eyes out for the full track.

@Loman, i like it, abit to dark for me though. obviously youve got your own style and that but try take SOME reverb off the kick, and maybe the snare.

@motionsedinburgh - snare has too much reverb imho, and the sample choice could be a lot better, sounds like some odd layered samples together which doesn't quite work.
@philthyloman - thanks dude, appreciate it. Any criticisms? On your tune - WAAAAYYYYY to much reverb dude. Dial ALL of it back and you'll have tune that has some focus and will sound rather industrial by the sounds of it.

@philthyloman some more highs on that bass would be sick but just keep going i love it

@ascian im loven that reese really deep just nice dont change just finish :4:

@idk what your ganna do with that but its sooo chill loving it. you could have more of those mid basses really. but nice man

this is my new wip. to me i like it but if sounds kinda empty at the drop what do you think i should do?
