Woah, fuck YOU, my friend. You've got some balls to come into what was otherwise a surprisingly civil discussion and then just straight up say fuck me. Go be an elitist snob somewhere else, because this discussion is for people with open minds who don't think they know everything. Gotta love internet tough guys.
you have bullshit views about piracy, don't make this thread out to be anything bigger than a bunch of people telling you it is wrong, and you persistently ignoring them.

it is getting boring now.

+1
+1
and surprisingly +1... frustrating to read some of these posts, how can people claim to be so in love with something and not be willing to part with even just a little of their hard earned money for music people worked hard on?!

Boohoo, someone has different views than I do, therefore they're inferior and not worth having a voice for. Why don't you grab a tissue and then grow up. If this gets locked than that's even further proof of the hypocrisy that goes on here, as there's a "voice for illegally downloading music" in a STICKIED THREAD on this forum as I've stated many times in this thread so far. I haven't ignored anyone, I've responded to everyone as politely and with the msot amount of respect possible. I simply have different opinions than they have. The point of this thread isn't to prove one side right and the other wrong, it's simply to discuss why youtube links are considered all right to post on this forum, but any other form of piracy isn't.
youtube is right on the edge of the common definitions of piracy. its in the the grey area. the area the US govt and the UN are debating over. you might call youtube piracy, but the general consensus (100 of millions of normal youtube users) do not, so saying that youtube is piracy serves you only in this debate. this forum condones, you tube, but not youtube collection channels. youtube videos are allowed, but collecting subscribers isn't.

It's about the fact that there are threads dedicated to youtube links on the same forum that "frowns upon" piracy.

face it. no discussion about the merits of piracy will remain civil forever because in the end its really just stealing which is wrong, right?

That's very interesting actually and I did not know that, but disrgarding what the government has yet to decide, youtube is quite obviously piracy. Material is being streamed for no charge without the original artists' consent. That's called stealing.

Stealing is as about as wrong as gay marriage, smoking marijuana, or sex before marriage are wrong according to the government and/or the Holy Bible respectively.

I've been in this discussion for a while now posting my views in a civil manner but your clearly a moron who doesn't care about the artist making the tunes you listen to so you can shut your mouth trying to justify stealing from people who are probably no better of than you

well look at it from this perspective....

alot of the users on this forum PAY for the music that is in their possesion.
so what if they post YT videos... at the end of the day, its usually so they can show other people WHO ALSO GO OUT AND BUY SAID MUSIC.

its abit different to say YOU, who doesnt own a piece of music on your HD and yet still lurks on youtube
