More stuff like Midnight Request Line please! Maybe a couple of sets where you just play stuff like that as well wouldn't go amiss? Like Slanguage says, we only get worked up because we care :W:
Pretty sure he did an '04-'06 set somewhere the other night.
Entirely possible, although "somewhere" and "the other night" are fairly vague locations and times ;-)

when ive seen skream recently he's played a mix of stuff, deeper stuff and some more tearout stuff. wasnt all to my taste but at the end of the day, he's entertaining an entire crowd, not just me

I reckon he should do a limited number of these '04-'06 sets in small venues. I'd be first in line to book him. DOOO EEEET

fair beans really.

i listened to that new tune with sam franks, wasn't really my thing so didn't listen to it again. 2 days later I woke up and randomly started singing the tune to myself on the way to work. Now like I said I didn't really like it but being able to remember it after 1 listen is impressive as fook :corndance:

i'll quote myself from the comments section-
the fact that skream has just announced that phatty drummer/gritty is coming out on deep medi musik shows that he still loves and wants to cater for the old dubstep sound

i don't care if he makes pop. i won't buy it, but then again that sort of record isn't meant for me.

as long as he leeps on releasing tracks like phatty drummer and exothermic reaction alongside his pop tunes then nobody has the right to complain. man's just making some money doing what he loves doing- producing
you're not wrong, you're just an asshole

yeah it was at fwd last thursday and it was fucking awesome. he did say though that was the last time he's gonna do a set like that so felt pretty priveleged! i still think he's a legend, despite a couple of DJ sets that i haven't quite enjoyed, exothermic reaction was massive this year and really excited to get skreamizm 6 next week plus phatty/gritty soon :Q:

big up yourself skream and i can't wait to see what you'll bring out for 2012

I like to support the person themselves, not the public image or their 'perceived' direction, so I wouldn't care if he made tech house or gabba next, I hear 'Skream' in everything he does.
Great, very human article. It's a great skill to be able to follow your heart when you make music. The internet makes it harder to do that if you listen to it, but Olly sets a great example!

This is exactly why Pokes tours with Skream & Magnetic Man and why Skream's still great friends with the whole DMZ crew. Mala's not selfish enough to stop liking someone just because they make a few bad tunes, but everyone here is quick to hate the guy just because he wants to make a bit of paper.

That said, bare support in this thread :w:

Long as he keeps making tunes like rolling kicks and fatty drummer I'm happy.

Most of the people that shoot him down didnt even know what dubstep was in 2005, i'll always have big respect for skream.

I love it when skream comes on here, after all the shit people gave him he still posts now and again to keep in touch with the fans of the original sound - big up!

Didn't know he had a son - congratulation for that, Mr.Jones. Lol'd at "Bach and shit like that".
Anyway, interesting read,

Nothing but love for Skream. Th magnetic man thing as a whole ain't for me. But I can see its merits an why it's so popular. Skreams a G. Was bumping Bahl Fwd just last night, too catchy! (ps: going nowhere is still a banger tho)

One thing I don't get though, 90% of any dubstep head I know loves Skream and say so irl or on here or the net in general, why do guys when they get some mainstream love focus on the negative vibes so much? Skream only needs to go to dmz or fwd to see how much the heads still rate him?
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.

Was a good interview. Never been a 'fan' of his but there's definitely some tunes here and there from over the years that I dig.

What I'm kinda irritated by is the sense of entitlement some fans have. They seem to forget that Skream is.. an individual, doing his thang. You either like what he does or you don't. Despite the fact that he actually does still support the scene, he really doesn't have to. If you like what he does, buy his shit or go see him play out, or.. don't and deal with it. He's not the slave of the collective dubstep scene that's gotta live according to the rules they set.
