my first thought is, it's really unfortunate that this track is 5/4...would totally be into dropping it into a set, but time signitures not matching up is not my thing. i like the build up and drop at 2:02. levels sound fine from my end, but i am listening on headphones...so...

Pretty interesting tune man. Nice to hear something different. It sounds well mixed, good eq, nice and fat sounding synth and bass. Drums are crisp. Nice work!

I like it mate.
All the sounds are sick and the 5/4 makes it pretty interesting but I don't think I'd have any chance of being able to mix it (I ain't that great so many others could). How about a 4/4 intro and outro? You recon that would mess up the feel or not?

yeah this tune is really interesting... i love the sound of this ....and an intro and outro would make it dj friendly...id probably make it a bit harder ....make it more for the floor....but ive been far too much a raver... and too lil a listener last too many years and i know that i should calm the fuck down....

im sure that the bass and the breaky´ness could make ppl move.....

or atleast nod their heads....

i love the synths and the bass....especially the synths are really badman and i dig the subtle vocal samples...time and space.....and all the breaks and cut ups works real great with the synths and bass.....

big up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5/4 thats great, but unmixable...

if you send me the .rar, i´ll try to give it 4/4 intro and outro for all the dj´s
of course you´ll hear it first
don´t know if it works, but i think this tune´s too good to get lost becouse of the rhythm...

i say fuck it, if its in 5/4 and it sounds good then leave it alone.
why does everything have to be 4/4 so "the djs will play it".
(and im not cussing anyone on here who has expressed a preference for a 4/4 version so please dont start getting vex)
there are ways of mixing tracks that dont involve beatmatching everything perfectly. be a bit creative.

its up to you tho, i mean if you want it played out and think a 4/4 intro/outro would help get it more airplay then go for it. this is all just my humble opinion

great music isnt made by playing safe and sticking to rules and formulas.
its about experimentation and doing things different for people to notice. if people want 'safe music' then there is plenty of earcandy clogging up the radio charts to listen to.

this is a fucking good track and i would leave it 5/4.

/endrant
:D

if you do any more mixing on this hit me up with a new version cuz i really like this track!

ofcourse its impossible to beatmix everything in the whole wide world....and everything shouldnt be made easy and generic....but im pretty sure it would pay off for Konehed to make a 4/4 or a beatless intro for this one...it is dj music and something that would sound awesome in the mix ....and i obviously dont like trainwrecks .....and this here is music and art and all ...but its also a tool .... well a compromise could be two versions... one for Horse and one for the rest of us :P

ahhh and big up the synth and bass again...sounds great on the speakers

yeah i know its impossible to beatmatch everything, thats why you gotta get creative in your mixes, and like i said in my post, if he wants it played out and thinks a 4/4 would help get exposure then go for it. its his track. these are all just my opinions.

its a free world..... and everything shouldnt necessarily be made as tools ...freedom and creativity is the king of it all...but still ...its dj music and some thing that would be awesome in the mix ...so a 4/4 or a beatless intro/outro would be appreciated

good work man...ive repeated it quite a lot today....

and the intro / outro thing ...you could do it easily....a simple 4/4 or beatless intro/outro....but hey...a remix would be dope too.....good luck with it :)
