Static - Northern Lights (ambient, chill, Phaeleh style)
back again, lookin for some feedback, cheers!
Re: Static - Northern Lights (ambient, chill, Phaeleh style)
Dat's a real nice, well-structured groove (reminiscent of Arkist, Sorrow and the likes). Your drums & synth samples needs to be somewhat tweaked, they sound pretty "generic" (perhaps it's just a matter of compression/mastering).
Re: Static - Northern Lights (ambient, chill, Phaeleh style)
much appreciated. big up montreal! my brother goes to school there. not totally sure what you mean by "generic" but i don't have monitors and i just master things on my headphones (which is not real mastering, i realize) so that might be why they don't sound good to you, i dunno...
Re: Static - Northern Lights (ambient, chill, Phaeleh style)
By generic I meant that your samples don't sound very much your own. That may be an aesthetic choice (minimalism), but you may want to play around a bit with the sounds (add layers, effects, etc.).

hmm ok interesting advice. i'll take it into consideration for future projects for sure. thanks again
