i think was people will have more incommon with the the inbetweeners than skins. And at the end of skins i hated them all and really didnt care about the characters.

Skins came out in Year 11, would definitely agree that it made that sort of lifestyle aspirational amongst a lot of the people I know. However, I wasn't part of the cool crowd at school, so didn't do anything approaching that.

this happened during Sixth Form as well, about three miles down the road from me. didn't bother going as I was ill at the time.

btw, it wasn't anything close to an invite-only "private party" only ruined by Pete Tong's shoutout, posters had been stuck in Sixth Forms all over South Devon.

I wish I had the money to go at it like they did in that show at their age hahaa.

I was happy with 6 for 5 and chipping all in for whatever else an crashing a house party.

But again, its TV - its going to be exaggerated and if people get that mash up and enjoy it they deserve a slap anyways.

Definately had a few skins moments, a lot of them aren't very fun at the time aswell..

Majority of my teenage years were like this though:

Except mixing records instead of playing guitars.

Remember drinking one night at my house with a couple mates when my parents went away, come 8 am we were still drinking and i had my dads motorbike out in the backyard doing donuts. neighbours called the police and they appeared in the backyard while we were sitting around surrounded by empty beers and skidmarks all over the lawn, with the bike sitting a meter away.
They just laughed and left.
Then we called a hooker (racking up a $50 phone bill in the process trying to find one.. a lot of them weren't too keen to work at 9am.. go figure) but by the time she arrived we had passed out so I woke up my friend and made him take one for the team (me and my other mate's morals had come back a bit once we had sobered up slightly.)

good times

I didnt read all the comments, but I would say Skins was an exagerated reality. There are defo people that stay up for a couple of days, doing fuck knows how many drugs, fucking whoever etc. I have seen it myself.

Obvs not everywhere is like that, but then again watching a group of people sit at home on FB, going out once a week wouldnt really make great TV.

First two seasons of Skins were decent and then it got progressively shitter after that.

It is also terriblebly misinterpreted by stupid, impressionable teens

like Cassie is this role model for all the anorexic girls in my school

shit is fucked up

it also makes a lot of people aspire to be dickheads without them even realising it, which is a bit of a shame
