ive only seen one episode of skins before i realized it wasn't for me. but i've got an idea so i doubt my teen years were like that. i had my own circle of friends and didn't venture to far from that. my family was fucking strict to the point where if i fucked up my grades or anything, i'd get my ass beat! so i put a lot of time and effort into studying and school, and extracurricular activities, just music, sports and hobbies. to put it bluntly, i was a fucking dork. :cornlol:

things changed when i went to university though and was out of my parents grip. started experimenting with drugs, lots and lots of them. X, shrooms, opium, etc. those lead to some wild adventures which would be considered skins like but it wasn't until later 18-21ish. my life these days as an adult are much more fun then back then..

There might be pockets of middleclass kids that tap into their parents 5figure incomes to fund the reckless adventures portrayed in that shite show but mine and my mates teenage years sadly were closer to that of 'topboy' than 'skins'.

Arent most peoples incomes 5 figures??

But yeah I know what you mean. I had a very normal upbringing, only gone a bit nutty later in life! Most excitement I had was going into 6th form a bit hungover every now and then.lol.

Damnit, beat me to it!

I figure most people don't have the disposable income to fund a proper party lifestyle until they're at uni or in work, tbh... luckily, I've been working since I was 18! :6:

I don't think you need a lot money for a skins lifestyle. Free parties/house parties, £5 bottle of vodka, benz for 2 people and you're set.

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Eh, depends on whether you count everything in the show, or just the actions and feelings and such. I relate alot to Chris (season 1&2) as far as how he acts, and the drugs, but not so much his parents and such.
I think it was a very relatable show though.

And to directly answer your question, reality for some.

Mostly true. Apart from all the grown-up stuff that crops up inconveniently.
