Deadly Habit - Hidden Translations V.1 (Cosmology)

Post by Basic A » Thu Dec 15, 2011 6:34 am

Ah, how serene it all was, life in the Commodore generation... And for Rochester, New York native Deadly Habit, it was all too sweet to ever see die. Thus, we're proud to welcome him aboard with a two track taste-test of whats to come, known as Hidden Translations Volume 1. On the A-track, Old Spice and Fried rice carries along with a distinctly old school, yet devastatingly catchy melody, which slowly drifts into reverberated space before the whole track caves into a sporadic, pounding beat, which puts one in the mind of early 90's instrumental hiphop pioneers, whilst still remaining distinct and unique... The B Side? A slightly more hectic 'Mandelbrot Set' - driving percussives and breakbeat flavor complemented by a psychedelic, yet somehow menacing synth on the overtones... Memorable for the DJs and listeners alike.

Thats okay though man, thats the whole foundation of what we're doing here... We accept donations if you can spare them, 100% of those donations either go directly to the artists or to fund physical mediums...
Cosmo works like this, and its why I wont call it a label, just a Collective...
1. > Listeners are given the opportunity to donate to the artists
2. > Artists either get payed quarterly or hold out until the listeners fund a run of physical/merch
3. > Physical is made, 100% of profits from physical sales go to artists...

No investment, no loss, no label cuts, no retailer cuts, collective promotion, 100% beneficial to the artists, non profit on Cosmology's end.

Make sense?

Money excuse is lame. If you can't scrape together a couple bucks you need to re-evaluate your situation. Even in my worst times I could put together a few bucks no matter what.

That being said, I am digging it.
