For the most part I agree, but not this one.
I mean I know he's using it for effect, but it's still got way too much punch. It's an awesome tune, but the snare sounds truly horrendous imo.
I like it

Whatever does the job. Sounds are sounds are sounds.

Fair play. In general though I would choose their snares over that skrillex type snare any day (although I'm not going to lie, i do really like skrillex's snares)
I've seen loads of threads like this one. So I made a free little skrillex style snares pack, Ive put the link on my fb page. Might be doing a few tutorials too, if enough people like my page. http://www.facebook.com/ShangoMass

Haha I love how ive become a little bit famous for helping everyone out!
Yeah ive given a couple of these snares out for nothing, but basically right all it is
Punchy house snare from a vengeance pack > eq it boost 200hz > Logic Overdrive Distortion, Compression if it isnt sounding as snappy as the ones in brostep maybe layer it with another higher sounding snare and whack some reverb on the higher sounding snare but leave the punchy snare dry (Just my preferance)
I took the same clap and pitched it to the root, 5th and 7th of my key and offset them by 1/16th notes. sounds good to me. then the normal processing, eq shaping etc
