cant wait for this, these nolan batman films are the best superhero movies out imo. i didnt see the hype about Joker in the last one, he was good but i wasnt getting gassed over it like everyone else was.

Srsly? Carnage was a serial killer, just look at what they did to Venom in the movie and you really think Carnage would've been improvement? If anything, they'd miss the point and fuck the character up even more.

All the previous Batman movies were rather awful. Nothing dark about them, just overly cartoony with lame antagonists. The old Joker and Penguin were awful. And Catwoman with all that licking her hands shit? Come on.

The Nolan movies kinda try too hard to be philosophical, but at least they attempt to make movie characters out of comic book characters and aren't just merely trying to plaster comic book characters in a live action flick and hope for the best.

Anne Hathaway as Catwoman? So she's meant to be tough? and sleazy? I don't know. I don't really know much about bane, just that he was crap in batman and robin, he's just a muscley guy? I suppose would be good for a few fight scenes. I thought Ra's Ah Gaul was a bit weak in the first one, not really looking forward to him coming back.

i would say carnage would be easier to represent visually but no doubt they would dumb him down and kill him within 30 minutes like they did to venom

Yeah very true, pretty poor in comparison. Guessing Nolan had a much bigger budget to work with on the second though.

Actually think Rises will be the best of the lot, I put my full faith in Nolan to deliver.

you're gettin too wrapped up in the over-realistic interpretation of batman

he's a serious comic character, his story is quite dark and you could say slightly more 'complex' but overall he's still a character from a comic book, the first couple of batman films retained that comic book fun element, DeVito's Penguin was PERFECT.... to a child who would read Batman comics he was as repulsively creepy and scary as he was meant to be

i watched Batman Begins the other day and was actually almost disappointed with how much i expected from it, and how little it delivered with regards to that expectation, especially considering i had just read Batman: Year One

its still an absolutely brilliant interpretation of the comic, but it is so only because it retains the comic book features

i think its better than the original Batman films, but is also barely even telling the same story, and that the original Batman/returns are both top versions of the character
