Dimension Expander On Sub Bass (Massive)?

i think you guys are all wrong to be honest. I get similar results like this:

double the sound in two, pan one version left, and pan the second one right, while you delay the sound about 10 ms. Also known as the haas effect. It sounds exactly like the dimension expander. Maybe add some reverb, whatever.

i was talking about what the dimension expander does exactly, not how you should use it.

Definitely don't use it. It's a nice sounding effect but unfortunately you can't specify which oscillators to apply it to - if you're working with a dedicated sub patch though, you could always just throw the dimension expander on the top bass. But you definitely don't want to be feeding your sub through any stereo or reverb effects, as it causes headaches later on. (almost had this issue on one of my tunes slip past both me AND my mastering engineer once - I had accidentally sent the sub to a channel with a stereo widener on it, and neither me nor the mastering engineer noticed it until I scoped my mix on headphones. not good!)

Sometimes I make the synth then duplicate three times (well i always have a dedicated sub synth) and subtract osc from them until there is one on each then i can apply different effects. I also use omnicide beacause its fucking, awesome one day im gunna plug my bass guitar into that shit and blast my neibourhood with my PA all tho i did try it with a semi accoustic guitar, didnt work out that great.....
