Is that actually forthcoming on Chemical? Or has it already been available on Chemical and sold out?

Chemical tend to put things as forthcoming when they sell out.

Here is some food for thought too on their Surus site:

"This really should have been 1 per customer. Cue Monday and half of them will be on ebay at ridiculous prices. DMZ supporting vinyl culture and the people who buy wax? Doesnt look it to me"

"Gotta agree with the below statement. I actually managed to get a copy, but dmz proclaiming to be a supporter of the vinyl scene is nonsense. Music is universal, it shouldn't be about who scours the net 24/7 waiting to pounce on a stupidly limited opportunity, this should be available for anyone that's interested in buying it. Seriously lost some respect for Mala because of this"

that is a valid point i think, digital mystikz obviously know how big they are now. would be nice if they'd make sure they pressed enough copies for all the heads to get one.

but, thats just how it is, not much we can do about it.

so just because this wasn't limited to one per order on surus dmz isn't supporting vinyl culture?! one can as well order from different shops.
really interested what mala /dmz did wrong here?! someone explain, please.

they haven't exactly done anything wrong. they're just saying that because they've made it limited and let people buy more than one copy loads of heads missed out and they're probably all gonna be on ebay/discogs next week for £10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.

Its not their fault though really and its not like their gaining anything from pressing less are they?

Well they have definitely increased the amount of presses they are doing.Horrid henry was still available about 6-8 weeks ago on juno and that was released over a year ago.

i don't agree with the bit about losing respect for mala over it, but it should have been one per customer if it's that limited. profiteering discogs people are stnuc.

you can say it's not their fault and whatever, like i said nothing we can do about it but as someone said for a label that prides it's self on being vinyl only and keeping vinyl alive, they could have done better.

i guess there were at least 500 copies pressed, which is about the same amount what other labels are pressing as their regular releases. probably it won't get a repress, which isn't that surprising as we're talking about dmz here. as a label i'd rather press 500 and sell them out in days than pressing 1500 of which most gonna rot in their boxes. and as i already said, even if it's limited for one shop, there are still others to buy a 2nd copy from.

I don't think Mala is a let down or any other extreme opinions. But DMZ has just become a label that a lot of people buy as many as they can to gain as much silly money as possible. Mala should see this and decide to press plenty of each release.

Glad that he has done that for the LP's!

Exactly, why all this moaning? It's the same with anything, if you aren't aware of it, you don't get it. If I spent my time moaning about vinyls I didn't get because I wasn't aware of how good they are at the time, I'd have no time to do anything else. I've missed out on plenty, I'm not gonna go and make demands of the label/artist to press more copies that they might not sell at high expense just because I missed out. I'll just keep an eye out for the release next time.

Not sure i agree with that point. There's a difference between not being aware, and finding out about it two minutes after it was released.. It's not even like anyone knew of a roundabout date it would be released, it just got announced then bang it was gone.

I do think mala should have pressed more copies though. Releasing it as 'ltd promo' then announcing on fb that this is the only press, you know whats gona happen..

I think people are just frustrated that they were no more than a day "late" and completely missed the release. The huge time zone difference + my full work day pretty much eliminated my chances at getting my hands on a copy. Fair play to everyone who got their copies, but some of us just can't help but be a tad annoyed.

Respect to Mala / DMZ all the same though, never thought Eyez VIP would see the light of day.
