Help my fund please:]

Post by Ecliptic_Dub » Sun Dec 25, 2011 8:51 pm

I am a 16 year old, Music Producer, and beginner Dj from Lodi, CA. I make Dubstep, and some other genres here and there. Nothing means more to me than my music. Music is my passion in life, it's what keeps me going. I have been making Dubstep for a little under a year, off and on. I make this type of music because it is very positive and makes people just want to move. It brings better vibes to things. I have recently started dabbling in DJ'ing, I love it! And I would love to expand my horizons outside of my bedroom lol. Please help me out and donate to my fund! thank you:]

CDJ's are a very important part of DJ'ing without them you can't really DJ

I'm not really trying to go to vinyl. And I like Cd's/mp3/wav. But that statement I made is a very general statement. Without them you can't DJ, without vinyl players you can't DJ, with out some sort of Audio player you can't DJ. it's like driving without arms.

There are cheaper DJing alternatives to using CDJs, have you investigated using those?

I have only used CDJ's and vinyl's. And I don't have a strong enough computer to run traktor or ableton. And i'm a beginner so I'm looking for something i'm a little bit familiar with. I took a strong liking to the CDJ's.

Ok, if you are looking at CD decks, there are cheaper alternatives to the Pioneer models (which I'm assuming are what you're after from your link).

Well, the Pioneer are top or the range.

You could look into cheaper models from the following;

Numark
Denon
Gemini

Try your local CraigsList to get an idea of some 2nd hand prices.

You could get Gemeni, but in that case you can also try n mix with a shoebox.

A budget option is a budget option, never said they would be as good as the Pioneers.
