Logic Users I Need Your Help
Hey! Recently a friend of mine bought me Logic Pro and I'm trying to figure out how to use it. I come from a Pro Tools background so learning a brand new software is a bit difficult but also exciting. I don't know how to accurately articulate my problem in text so I recorded a video of what I need help with located here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nz62yLZR ... e=youtu.be (Yes I am aware I say "like" a lot in this video and I am aware that its annoying. Sorry its how I talk)
In addition to that I'd also like to know how I can get a 2 bar count off when recording instead of a 1 bar count off. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Hey Projekt N,
Your YouTube link isn't working, but I am happy to help you get going with Logic. It's what I do!
I think you will be in love with it in no time at all, especially after having used ProTools for a while. Feel free to shoot me a message at your convenience!
You can adjust the metronome count settings in your preferences, BTW.

Cheers,
OhmLab

Re: Logic Users I Need Your Help
Here is you super quick fix for the question you posed in the video about multi-take recording...
To set up your Multi-take settings click on the Settings button in your toolbar at the top of the Logic window. Select Recording form the drop down menu. Now change the default setting for Overlapping Recordings: to Create Take Folders from the drop down menu. Now you will see a small disclosure triangle in your midi regions in the arrangement window any time you record a take that runs over the set loop region, allowing you to create multiple takes seamlessly! All you need to do to see all the takes is to click om that little disclosure triangle!

There are literally hundreds of little things like this throughout Logic that are not readily explained or easily found, but change your experience with it entirely! I offer 1-on-1 customized training in Logic via private online video chat. If you or anyone else checking out this thread are interested, all you need to do is shoot me a message to get the ball rolling. I have years of experience and hundreds of satisfied students all over the world.
Cheers!

Re: Logic Users I Need Your Help
cba to find the proper thread buttttt
imagine if im using my own snare sample in ultrabeat, the snare has quite a long tale on the end, now when i put the notes in the sequencer, it only plays the snare sound for the length of the square of the sequencer, how can i get it to play it all, all the time without drawing the notes longer across?
