sculpture is sickkk!

Post by Eat Bass » Wed Dec 28, 2011 4:49 am

just got logic and was baffled when i opened up sculpture. I'm still slightly clueless in logic so I'm kind of just messing about at this point. it was like opening up a synth for the first time again. i found this video and it seems pretty insane for textures and what not! remember to watch in 720p

edit: meant to post in the production forum :/ oh well

Yeah my mate was banging on about this. Seems you can make some pretty awesome sounds.

Loving Razor at the minsute. And Sawyer.

Sakura is also pretty nice.

yeah its a pretty unique synth. for me its hard to program something how i want it to sound but i can still get some nice random results haha :6:

i like how it can make a basic bass guitar plucking sound to a crazy flute/bouncing marbley type thing that sounds like your about to go into some crazy ninja fight with blow guns and everything in between lol

and atm i don't have any third party plugs so I'm just sticking with logics stock units. they all seem to be of high quality for sure. there not all the easiest to use, but I'm sure once i get used to them ill like them.

Guess you could do that with any synth but this tool seems great. Can't wait to get into
Logic myself, think it'll speed up the process of adding effects and actually creating sounds.

Man it would be right sick if there was like a whole section devoted to this kind of thing, like about production, hardware and technical type stuff. Maybe I'll write a letter to Dubway...

yeah thats the reason i got it. adding insert fx and setting up busses is so easy in logic. in reason it took so much unnecessary time away. its def worth the 200 bucks, thats like a steal in my eyes. comes with some great stock plugins too.

haha, i know rightttt. i probably will get komplete 8, camelphat and maybe one or two other plugs in the future, but for now I'm all set with logics stock plugs.

edit: and yeah as jr just pointed out, i already said i meant to post this in the production forum...

I didn't realise Sculpture was Logic standard. Can you get an Ableton compatible version?

I love sculpture, it's the most organic sounding soft synth I've had the pleasure of playing.

Wish I was heading north to see them play in PDX for NEW YEARS, (ALTHOUGH WHY BOTHER) no one dances in Portland. That track off Scuba's DJ Kicks is PURE FIRE!

Yeah sculpture is proper shit. I was trying to make a pitched bass drum with it, but couldn't get it quite right. It's easy to make a decent patch, ut I've been having trouble making a patch I'm wild about.
