Cheap midi controller?

Post by alexvont12 » Tue Dec 27, 2011 11:27 pm

I was looking for a cheap midi controller that works well in Fl Studio.
I was considering the M-Audio Oxygen 25, but its still just a bit too much @ $150 and since it's "DirectLink" isn't compatible with Fl Studio it would be a pain to set up.
Also a drum pad with it would be nice.. Any suggestions? Or would it be better to save up a little longer?

Oxygen 25 works fine with FL Studio.

If you want pads, look at a 2nd hand one of the following;

Korg PadKontrol
M-Audio Trigger Finger
Akai MPD 18

Alternatively, if you want the best of both then the Akai MPK Mini.

I use the M-Audio Oxygen 25, and it works great.....(i use it with Logic though)

I don't remember paying all of $150 for it, I'm pretty sure I bought it for more like $70....maybe I bought it used, but I seem to remember I got it new off of the M-Audio site?

I'd say that's a good choice :)

+1 for the MPK mini, only thing it lacks is mod and pitch wheel, but you can program 2 of the 8 programmable knobs to do that
