Sexy Dubstep?

Post by loki » Wed Jun 13, 2007 3:49 pm

Ok this is gonna sound like a weird question but are there any songs / artists that you would consider to be"sexy"? Like caters to women specifically and could be played during like say a photoshoot or runway walk or something without it sounding out of place or scaring away people that have likely never heard dubstep before. Basically I was approached last night by someone who's doing this "industry" type networking party with models and photographers and makeup and fashion people and all that crap and he asked if I could play "sexy dubstep", haha. So any ideas? I've got a couple but not enough to do a full set of yet

I think what you're after is friendly dubstep, not sexy dubstep.

Vex'd do the latter very well IMHO, though perhaps not the former.

What they probably mean is "not too alien sounding", while still "edgy" (*ick* :u:) ...

Try giving them a mix with track with obvious dub / roots flavor and influence. They'll nod and say "oh, this feels familiar but different"...

Or something...
