i do go to gigs, but its just not working .. i don't drink or do drugs out, i smoke a bit of herb, and thats about it
i try to catch dubstep nights but only when they're good, so that's rare.. and i never see any women
At house nights i get bare attention from gay men, but never women. I try to politely show that i'm totally straight, n i've tried to dance with girls and things like that
it just never works out
I also like live bands a lot but in either case, its too loud and busy to get to know anybody, chat, etc
also i think in the UK people take music far more seriously, care more about it, convene around it more

Haha yes just don't drown yourself in Axe or colognes, it's gross. Perfumes make my stomach hurt, it's a turn off when I smell a girl's perfume before she's close enough to talk to. Honestly I prefer natural smell to chemicals. It just smells like you're trying to hide something anyway. Just keep clean as mentioned, no need to bathe in chems.

Seriously, last year I started swing dancing (fuck you, it's awesome) in Brixton (same building, but just downstairs from Mass of DMZ fame actually). The classes get to the point where they stop letting girls sign up and only guys can sign up because there are already too many girls. How it works is that the girls rotate around so you dance with everyone as the night progresses, which gives you a chance to meet everyone without any pressure. Then everyone goes to the pub afterwards where you can make more chat.

I signed up with my girlfriend, but made the mental note that if I was to find myself single any time soon, dancing classes would be the way forward.
