A bar is a collection of beats where-in the number of beats defines the length of the bar and the number of bars defines the length of the measure. In traditional dance music time signitures are in 4-4. 4 beats to a bar, 4 bars to a measure.

1 > 2 > 3 > 4. Is 1 bar, this repeated 4 times is a measure. The tempo defines how quickly the beats in a bar are counted. Turn on your DAW's metronome and pay attention to the clicks.

It would be much easier for everyone including yourself if you used google for things like this btw.
