the early minimal percussive hessle releases are all up there with DMZ's for me. Not to say the output has declined in quality, but rama, joe, and pangaea's early releases are all incredible.Phigure wrote:percussive tunes like this one are what i live forgarethom wrote:Possibly the first dubstep tune that grabbed and held my attention. ALSO THE AMBIENT PADS THAT COME IN HALFWAY THROUGH PRETTY MUCH EVERY RAMA TRACK ARE THE BEST THINGS EVER
Re: Big Ups Ramadanman
yeah those breakdowns with those lush pads are just mind blowingDevry[Kaneda] wrote:ALSO THE AMBIENT PADS THAT COME IN HALFWAY THROUGH PRETTY MUCH EVERY RAMA TRACK ARE THE BEST THINGS EVER
this one's my favorite. when that OOOooooooOOOOoohhh comes in at 3:40, it's so good it makes me want to die. not to mention that absolutely brilliant chord progression. the way it all builds is indescribable... and then climaxes
and then back into the groove... duka chuh duka chuh duka chuh duka chuh blap, BWWAAAAAAAAMPPPPPPPPPPPP BWAMP BWAMP BWAMP (i always know i really love a tune when i feel the need to do a text acapella)

He is a bossman no matter which name he makes music under. I've got a bunch of love for many of his tunes, both old and new.

Re: Big Ups Ramadanman
ramadanman made me discover dubstep together with some other djs that night so big up for that !
It's about dropping a track at the wrong speed, and it sounding better than the real thing.
