Moombah-House track (EP Teaser Leak)

Hey guys,
I haven't posted on the forum in a while, although I used to be quite a frequent member. I stopped producing for a while because I was focusing on DJ'ing gigs around my college town to make some extra money, but I'm back to producing, trying to finish up an EP in hopes that it seals the deal on a signing contract with a record label that will go without naming, who I have been talking to for the last couple months (all I will say is they are NOT mau5trap, but were close with deadmau5 a while ago...) anyways, this is one of my favorite songs from the EP that I'm really happy with at the moment, and wanted to know what you guys thought. It's a moombah-house typed track, somewhat knife party-esque. the best way I would describe it is knife party getting into bed with Dillon Francis... however I'm no where good as any of those godly beings. It's not mixed or mastered or really close to being done for that matter, but so far it's sounding naiceeeeeee. It would be funny if anyone one the forum heard my old music and then heard this, just to see how much progress I've really made haha. Anyways, let me know what you think! Thanks

I'm not extremely well versed in moombah at all, but I did like some of the ideas going on, especially the vocal sample. The builds and the themes were well executed, but it felt /too/ sparse at times for me. The whole high pitched thing is kind of lost on my I'm afraid; perhaps I just don't know how to appreciate it, but the fact that it was just one high note held for a very long time wasn't appealing to me. I like how Knife Party will interject those high sounds with a good balance of other synths and basses. Since it isn't mixed or mastered I'm not gonna judge on that, but composition wise, I think some cool gating and melodicism during that drop would make it much more interesting.
