Like I have a track ready to go, and I want to get it signed (never been signed before) but this shits pumpin' and it's top club quality stuff.
So if I send it to say about 5 labels right now, is that ok? Not saying any will get back to me, but what if like 2 labels said they were interested in me, for that one song.... wtf do i do then :O
And for anyone that has been signed before, how long around did it take the label to get back to you? I know they'd vary but yeh.
Thanks in advance!

i advise that you send to not more than 2 or 3. once sent, wait for a response from this first group. i'd also do full research on the labels before hand, and make sure you have a sound thats compatible or as near to the sound of the labels in question. good luck.

No, there technically isnt anything wrong with it, but Id prioritize and send one at a time anyway for a few reasons...
You send a bulk demo around... You get an offer from this label, wants your three best tunes, you sign the contract in a rush, two days later, planet mu is emailing you back and your like fffff.....
You send a demo around... label responds, wants your tunes, great, you get em up... second label responds and wants your tunes... and you have nothing to give them... they leave saying 'what a tnuc, send me a demo and then back out instantly'.

of course! send it to as many RELEVANT labels as possible. you can decide later (if they all want it) who you'd like to go with. but chances are only 1 or 2 will be interested - of course that depends on the music
p.s. ill have a listen:

How do you know you're a 'relevant' label if he hasn't actually posted any tunes yet?

Yeh Louse it's actually not dubstep sorry. It's a fresh summer house track. Thanks for your help though!

no i mean - its best to send demos to labels that are doing similar stuff to the sound you are producing.
I'm just interested, I'm happy to listen to anything to be honest! I like all sorts.
