as it happens, on the same day this news comes out, the Govt announced the go-ahead for the London - Birmingham Express High-Speed Train Line...

£16,000,000,000 - so rich people can take a train between two cities 2hours apart, in 45minutes... in 13 years time

could the money perhaps be better spent?? i wonder...

Not to mention the 40plus million of UK taxed cash on the opening/closing ceremony's of London's sports day but I'm sure all that lovely tourism will replenish that pot and solve the economy problems in the process, If there isn't 'real' riots by the end of this year, i'll be surprised.

Depending on who issued it, you might not actually have to pay it so long as you write them a fairly wordy letter detailing the actual law (which no where inidicates you have to pay them! )....you can find advice and Letter templates and stuff for it online fairly easily if you do a search.

got my girlfreind out of one from a NCP carpark last year, and more recently one from London bourough of Islington, but im just waiting a few more days to see if they reply but i dont think they will touch wood....and even if they do, Letter No2 should sort em out.

Mark Maxwell who helped out with the fortified nights back in the day. We arrived for about half past 11 so only caught half of his set. Barky and Ryan played 2-3, easily best set of the night. All vinyl, top selection.

Is it possible to get ill from not drinking alcohol?

Ive gone 10 days without a drop, have gone for 4 2mile runs and played 5aside on Sunday........and this morning I wake up feeling like crap!!

Yes, massively. Alcohol is a drug - if you were drinking consistently before hand, and then going cold turkey from it, your body will naturally quick up a fuss about it.

Indeed, stopping cold turkey can cause delerium tremors. Since alcohol releases lots of GABA in your brain, your body down regulates GABA receptors. Without alcohol you become GABA deficient for a few days and can get some real shitty withdrawal effects. The more you know!

Good work on 10 days, your probably over the hump of physical dependence, or at least close to over the hump!

Yeah Im feeling better today. Not 100% but alot less achey and rough. So reckon I'll be fine by the weekend.

Also I guy I hardly know at work is asking me to come his stag do and now I have to come up with a convincing reason to not other than flat out "No because I hardly know you" but at the same time feel alittle guilty because if you ask a guy you hardly know to your stag it must be pretty grim!
