I like my hip hop like I like my books, movies and women - with some substance that actually engages brain cells. And unfortunately 808 hihat rolls and some special lad saying "swag" all over again with some pitch shifting thrown in doesn't really do it for me.
And it seems the argument that people always bring up about this music is that "They're real" "they're gangster" etc, I could care less if they're a thug, I listen to music for the music, not for the image.

And I'm not even going to address that "black people don't even listen to it anymore" comment.. smh.
