Absolute insta-bag material. I can't believe goth-trad went under my radar for so long. The man's got an absolutely perfect vibe, I can't wait to play out again and drop some new epoch stuff.

Whoever leaked the album is a prick - really disappointed to see man like goth-trad not getting the respect he deserves for such an anticipated release.
This scene is really fucking lacking in respect for the dons right now and I think many other heads will agree that this one should have been kept locked until the proper release date.

tbh mate, back when I was more into rock and electronica this stuff happened all the time - dubstep it's only very rare you get a leak like this. when it does happen it's nothing but a sign that what's coming out is a big deal. having said that I kinda think the promo and the waiting is as much a part of the album as the tunes themselves... anyone who appreciates that will always wait for the label to complete their presentation before they even consider listening to it. Sometimes I won't even listen to the singles if there's an album coming out.

Massive respect to Goth-Trad though, after seeing that Airbreaker video I can't wait to hear the album.

I've heard samples of about half the tunes by now,

Percussion and bass wise, the new tracks sound very good. However, the samples I heard are deffo lacking something to keep it interesting for me. GT is a badman, had the pleasure of briefly meeting him in Osaka I think in 2008. And as much as I want to really adore everything he does, I can't go further than calling what I've heard great, but not excellent.

it's more of the same, no real complex melodies (in fact, I'd call his earlier stuff better in terms of melody). Having said that, it's dance floor oriented stuff without becoming filthy or "dungeon". As I said, rhythmically and percussion wise, they're great, but I'm looking for something extra these days, some extra colour.

Still, only heard about half the album, so who knows.
Don't want to step on anyone's toes by the way. I was also no fan of the Babylon Fall EP mind you.

Not saying that it happens a lot or whatever I just think goth-trad is one of those gems that it didn't deserve to happen to. A lot of the album content has been dubplate gold for quite a while, I just think its a bit shit that you can now google the album title and it comes up with all these links for a free dl just as the test presses come out. Ruins the date of the real drop for many as well.

it's not even really a leak. the album was already released in japan. shouldn't be too surprising it's out there...

This.
Didn't listen to any of the Author album before I got it because I knew it'd be gold. Same goes for anything from Goth-Trad. Absolute badman and he has my faith.

Yeah I agree with all of this, waiting and listening to the album in whole for the first time is the best. I hate hearing a handful of the tunes out on an album way before the albums out... then it turns out they're the best songs on the album and i (or other people, radio ect.) have rinsed them to fuck so i'm pretty bored of them when the albums out.

Looking forward to this one though, Goth-Trad had a killer year last year.
