He's my favourite mate, absolutely revolutionary thinker. Actually got to study a little of him with Chris Kenny this year which I was majorly hyped about. Do you like Heidegger?

If you want my reccomendation dude, read Hubert Dreyfus' commentary "Being-In-The-World" before tackling bits of Heidegger (Magda King's guide to Being and Time is also a nice resource, a little lacking in depth sometimes though). I generally go through chapter to chapter, reading as much commentary as possible each step of the way. It's taking a looooong time, but it's well worth it. I'd try a couple translations too, I understand English is actually a pretty poor philosophical language and that translating Heidegger is particularly tough.

I remember the first time I picked up a Heidegger book in the brotherton during first year. I was like "lolwut".

One of Dick's best, IMO. The film's been a favourite for ages, found the two complemented each other incredibly, which is rare these days.

Really light reading - read it in a day - but it is an incredible book.

Havn't started it yet, but looking forward to it.

Just about to start on Wuthering Heights. I know the basic gist as I read the children's version many years ago! Definitely looking forward to this as that children's version was probably my favourite book when I was a kid.

It'll have been heavily edited I guess. Especially the ending, as I've heard what happens then...

I got it as part of a set of classic literature books in children's version form and I remember it affected me noticeably more than the others. Maybe because there isn't the happy ending that existed in most of the others and you don't get that very often when you're young.
