Suggestions about how to avoid uncertainty & change

Post by nousd » Wed Jan 11, 2012 4:49 am

The timeless croon of Jamie Woon & resorting to distracting loquacity.

Kode9 and his mate Spaceape perhaps? That combination is pretty hit and miss for me personally.

Emika maybe? Vengance Tenfold's work with Shackleton sounds exactly like a "real" dubstep vocalist to me. Still though, I'd take a well placed sample over a vocalist any day.

Fucking great word man.

As far as the vocals, all I want to hear is if it is done well with good lyrics. And I'd want to hear it dubbed out maybe. I like to play some deep house, mostly instrumentals but if I hear a good vocal tune, it will get rinsed.

(Same concept applies to dubstep).

We cling to a fixed idea of who we are & it cripples us.

The only certainty is that everything changes.
Avoid avoidance and uncertainty is gone.

...and how do you go about living this way Laszlo?
How do you avoid feeling insecure in constant flux?

Embrace the insecurity - become one with it and then neither you nor the insecurity exist.

Our insecurities arise from our concept of self and the idea of permanence. Reduce these things and our insecurities shrink back along with our fear of death and the unknown.

(Disclaimer: this method has helped me a lot but IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. Either follow it through or do not start as it can lead to... 'unstable' trains of thought. Your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments.)

Don't really see why you're taking the piss, noam. Didn't you study philosophy at Leeds?

What i'm saying is, if you embrace the fact that there is no such thing as permenance you will either become insecure about all things or nothing... or the former and then the latter.

life is infinitely more complex than any supposed, two-sentence universal truism plucked from the guts of Confucius

im feeling cynical today

edit: its like the way Mathematicians and Physicists attempt to reduce complex ideas to simple equations based on the idea that the simpler an idea the more beautiful it is

except in this case concision equals aesthetic beauty at the expense of a rounder appreciation of people

loads of things sound nice and clever but on exposition dont really say anything at all
