Best Synthesizer for different instruments?

Post by acrap » Sat Jan 14, 2012 6:37 pm

Just wondering in you guys opinions what are the best synthesizers for pads, strings, leads, filthy basses. I know some synths are better than others and i have massive but i feel like there's other synths that have better character for leads or pads but i'd like to hear you guys opinions. Sorry if i'm not being clear

Any synth with 3-6 oscs + analog & digital waveforms is capable of making a large range of sounds.
z3ta+ 2 gets my vote.

DSF has been having a problem when you press Submit on your posts it doesn't load the next page, but it does infact post your post. Did you press submit a bunch thinking it just wasn't working?

i agree that a synthesizer with multiple osc can produce a wide range of sounds but each synth has their own characteristic and i find that even if you program two sounds identically on two different synths you'll get 2 totally different sounding results.

depends on what type of instruments ur talking about
if u want some realistic sounds ur better off with a rompler or separate samples...
then there are other options.. any complex synth can help u produce sounds reminiscent of instruemnts.. and get very very close
