Looking for ideas and contributions to a dubstep book

Post by jaydot » Sat Jan 14, 2012 2:24 pm

There is a niche for a dubstep book in the market... I have time on my hands now and am a fairly skilled writer.

I am looking for ideas and/or possible contributors to the book, I think it best to be done off the cuff rather than planned and drafted. Possible royalties wouldn't be a problem as I would be writing and carrying a lot of the donkey work all round (I know from previous exp that collaberative projects hit problems) but contribtuions would be nice and I could maybe get some fairly well known producers on board etc for contributions but the idea is to not hit a target audience. It's an idea I want to see one way or another happen because as I say there is a niche for it, the idea is just an idea but I am determined ;-) and need a project to channel stuff into atm. Idea and thoughts welcomed initially (via PM) and if I like the ideas and thoughts or I feel I could use your contributions then great- just would really like to see this happen for me personally as I always did want to write a book and for the scene as it would benefit people. The formalities would fit into place later, but basically I need some chapter/structure/content ideas so I can feed off them for my own ideas (not to come across as I'm "recycling" them ideas cos I have enough of my own but like I say it would be nice to hear the thoughts of fellow dubstep lovers.

Cheers

Jaydot.

Dubstep needs a book like Mugabe need the Nobel Peace Prize.

Think we should commission a Dubstep for Dummies book.

This should only happen if the cover has no less than ten Jah lions on it and the entire book is written completely in patois.

i'd suggest writing the major part quite normal and well articulated and when you start covering newer developments everything is in caps lock, horrible spelling and cuss words.

jaydot... please

this is an absolutely terrible idea in the first place and, not to sound like a dick, but you are the last person i would choose to do something like this. you just said "Hmm trance has undeniably massively influenced dubstep though" for fuck's sake.

i feel quite sorry for the OP. i read the post and jaydot just seemed really excited about this new project and wanted some contributions from the ninja's and everyone's just shat on his strawberries. i mean it's not the best idea but it could be good... i guess... tbh the only thing is mate who the fuck would actually read it?

This has the potential to make a lot of money, just market it at the same people as Dubturbo, impatient noobs, im not kidding btw, this would appeal to those retards and luckily there are a lot of them! So what if people with hf a wub know how good it is... its about profit ultimately anyway, might as well milk the tubofans for what theyre worth!
