Re: MOTHERFUCKING DRUMSTEP
Dude that was pretty intense. The drop was pretty wicked, and the second drop with the change up in the drums was a really nice touch and brought it into a dubstepy realm. Really liked the glitches during the drops that you had going. Really solid work here man!
Re: MOTHERFUCKING DRUMSTEP
thought the intro was far too long, also think that you might as well have just made it a drum and bass track, the relativity this track has to dubstep is.. almost non-existent.
i hate drumstep with a passion, but, even i can tell you, drumstep generally seems to be far more intense than this, the percussion is usually far more intense than this, to me, this just seemed a tad on the boring side, it needs to sound fast, it needs to feel fast, this is lacking energy.
not meant to come across as a full on "this track is shit" vibe, but this is how i feel, this is my opinion, my critique, and i think it does lack the energy of a drumstep track..
then again, this is coming from someone who hate's the subgenre with a passion and think's it is a waste of space in the world.
also seemed to lack bass..

liking the synths in this man, nice track
Re: MOTHERFUCKING DRUMSTEP
yeah I'd definitely call drumstep a subgenre of Jump-up DnB, and since this track only has a short half-time section i wouldn't even call it drumstepBlueyTeamTom wrote:thought the intro was far too long, also think that you might as well have just made it a drum and bass track, the relativity this track has to dubstep is.. almost non-existent.

Re: MOTHERFUCKING DRUMSTEP
Coming from someone who hasn't really listened to drumstep, this sounds a like like dnb to me. Heavy ass dnb, haha. But it sounds like it has a lot of potential, the quality of production is up there.
