He has already said his music is a piss take and meant as a joke.

Those comments are shocking.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

fairly shit point in saying that people who want big reese sounds are just doing so because of Skrillex.

Reese's don't sound like Kevin Saunderson for the same reason electric guitars don't sound like Lead Belly recordings, shit just evolves.

Skrillex is in no way responsible for the way the trend has gone.

I would call the original Reese a big warm sound.

The Shrilex version is a flat, tiny nothing sound.

But why do you refer to it as the Skrillex Reese, why is Skrillex getting a mention at all here? he's only the tip of the iceberg.

what about Koan Sound, Noisia, Spor, Calyx & Teebee all of which make massive hyper-reese bassline sounds are they just trying to sound like Teh Skrillex??

Dont think I did mention shrilexx till someone else mentioned him.

I thought he was god around here and wouldn't dare say anything about him or his hair cut.

just because someone else mentions him it doesn't make the thread irrelevant for the sound in general, that's just being ridiculous.
Skrillex is just an easy reference point for some people and not a sole provider for an entire style or genre, he doesn't own it once he uses it.

I never said the thread was irrelevant. Just genuinely curious how it got to this.

There is a good reason there is a sticky "How To Sound Like Skrillex & Make Skrillex Bass" thread I guess and it has something to do with the flood of people wanting to be as cool as him.

This is not that thread... This is a thread can showcase reese sounds they've made in order to get feedback on their work. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

i don't understand why everyone is saying about skrillex's 'reese'. i wouldn't have thought its even a reese, more of a distorted formant sound.

one thats definitely a good reese is chasing shadow's one. i'd love to know that effects chain.

I dont have trouble understand the thread, I have trouble understanding the direction.
