Nanostudio

Post by BloomingAudioLife » Sat Dec 31, 2011 2:18 am

i just thought id share with you guys a program ive been using for a year or two. its called nanostudio, and its 15 dollers on the iphone, ipod touch, and ipad, and its free for PC and mac, its really cool, i find it very easy to use, but sampling, and using multiple programs gets sort of hard, you have to convert anything to a WAV file for it to work in the program. links to songs ive made in it, as well as the website where you can get all the info about the program, as well as the PC/Mac download link

That "Bloomingaudiolife-physical" track does have an interesting synth!
It sounds like those tiny motors you take out of a toy, then break off the two wires on it and put a 9v battery on both sides where the whires were, then the motor turns and you put it against things and it makes that sort of... Hair-trimming, tight-squeeling sound. I really love it and I wish I could make that on Massive! :/
Keep progressing, one day you'll be great. :)

i've got nanostudio, it's fun. so far i've only made drum loops, if iPhone 4S didn't have such a shit battery i'd be on it more!

one thing i can never get to work is the decay on drum sounds.

to get good decay, go to the mixer, and on the first TRG bar, select FX, button that says no fx to add effects, and choose the chronos, then hit the plus icon on the chronos until you get to delay, then mess around with the effects, hope this helps and to everyone else, im glad you like my tracks and the program :D

i dont know much about massive, but you could up the levels on your synth, set the polyphony to glide, and detune the synth a bit, thats what i did.

Absolutely! Still getting used to the workflow and have a lot of questions.

Made some TRG drumkits - 2 roots dub, 1 "heavy" (dubstep friendly), a 70's Ludwig drumset, a Linn LM-1, a Korg Minipops, and a CR-78. PM me if you're interested and I'll send 'em.
