How long have you guys been mixing?

Post by Clean » Thu Jan 19, 2012 2:39 am

I'm just curious, how long you have been DJing or mixing (whatever you want to call it) also how long did it take before you became any good?

I've only been mixing for a year this April, so I've got a lot to learn still. I'd like to think that I'm above average skill-wise for someone with my level of experience though :)

Started collecting vinyl about a year ago. Bought two Technics and a Xone 22 last Tuesday. So exactly one week. I can get beats to match but I have no idea about figuring how to mix the proper number of bars and shit to hit drops right. I'm assuming most DJ's have some kind of formula for this? I've just been trying to hit it lucky. Anyone have suggestions?
